Everyday Miracles

A blessed sunday lovies!  A bit gloomy outside but my mood's all bright and chirpy.  Just got home from church and realized for the nth time I have a lot to be thankful for.  Last week was harrowing to say the least.  I was stressed, scared, sleepless, worried, and confused, among other things.  Not so long ago I discovered a simple way to calm my inner self - I go somewhere private, close my eyes and tell God all I'm feeling at the moment.  Relaxes me everytime.  I'd like to share to you a very powerful novena I've tried many times over and I tell you it never fails me.  Whenever I ask for something I pray it 9 consecutive days at the same time each day.  When my need is somewhat urgent  I pray it for 9 consecutive hours at regularly spaced intervals.

O Jesus, Who has said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened," through the intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted. 
(Make your request) 

O Jesus, Who has said, "All that you ask of the Father in My Name, He will grant you," through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask your Father in your name that my prayer will be granted. 
(Make your request) 

O Jesus, Who has said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away but My word shall not pass away," through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I feel confident that myprayer will be granted.

I don't really know what is in a novena that gets your prayers answered.  Maybe it's the fervor and solemnity you put in the prayer.  Maybe it's your faith that gets it going.  Maybe God is "nakukulitan na" that's why He gives you what you ask for.  Or maybe it really is the power of a heartfelt prayer.  I have shared this to many friends who were amazed at how their prayers were really answered.  

I truly believe that there is a God in the depths of the universe.  He can go by any name in many different beliefs but I know He loves us one and all the same.  

Headaches

Headache strikes.  Yet again.  I have, over time have managed to accept and live with it.  I get headaches as frequently as every week.  Sometimes it's a dull ache that lasts all day.  Sometimes over periods i get pounding,crushing headaches that's on a scale of 1-10 a mighty 100 which lasts about 30minutes max at the same time everyday for a few weeks stretch.  Freaky, eh?  Funny that neurologists i went to didn't find anything wrong with me.  Oh well, maybe it's just a glitch in my system.  Lately I found a no fail cure to my recurrent headaches-a Ponstan 500mg and a cup of strong coffee.

Win Min Inn is a sure-win!

Last weekend the fam-bam had a quick weekend getaway.  We arrived a bit too early in CDO for our next itinerary stop so we decided to look for a place where we can catch a few ZZZs before our mini adventure.  Of course I did my research on this and i scoured the net for places where my little lovies can rest while in in between periods of long travel.  Just across the Agora bus terminal arrival area is the Win Min Inn.  It's remarkably clean and charges 60pesos per hour.

Spacious too.  Didn't break the budget.  Will definitely love to spend a few hours rest there again.

Kiddos and depots

Hi everyone! While on the hunt for a new nanny i took the kids with me to valencia city a few days ago. The scorching midday heat made my two loves cranky. I  looked for a playpen for them to play in while I thought I'd go run a few errands. Found one on the third level of NVM Mall.

 

On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 6.5. Toys were clean and floors were well cushioned.  Problem was the kids couldn't be left without adults waiting on the waiting area. Poof went my idea of running a few errands while the kids were busy playing inside the depot. While there was a waiting area with a mini cafeteria there werent a lot of food choices. Most were junkfood.  No free wifi either. Hourly rates are at 75.

 

Anyway, the kids enjoyed it so whatever the depot lacked the smile on my lovies' faces made up for it. And I'd definitely bring them back to Kid's Depot when i tag them along to Valencia City. See the happy happy happy faces:

Unica attends Style Origin

This is a super late post.busiest workweeks ever.(and a bit of procastinating on the side,hehe)
Anyway my favorite cousin and I got invites to the Centrio Style Origin last May 25, 2013.  For a newbie blogger it was an invitation I was super excited about.thanks Ms.Irene!please keep inviting us to more events!
So here are  highlights:
The event was hosted by Ms. Phoemela Baranda.  She looks so fit in person.  And her tan is totally to die for.  Very pretty and dashing models strutted their stuffs from various brands on stage.  Here are some pictures i took:

Now the major-major highlight which sent the audience roaring:

And then my camera died on me. Tragic. I learned a new lesson that day: Bloggers should be heavily armed.  Come to an event with a fully charged camera, phone and tablet.  

There goes my first bloggers event.  Ms Irene introduced us to many other bloggers there. All were really very friendly.  I really like Penda Penn for ohpenda.  Light and bubbly and charming and all.  Oh the energy of the young.  Infectious.  Makes me wanna be young again,LOL!

Musings of a first time blogger

Weee.  My first blog ever.  :)

Since its a first, please excuse me if its peppered with smileys and emoticons wherever.:D

Well first off  I woke up early on a Saturday and travel to Malaybalay (that's 3 hours from where I live).  Then earlier on in the workshop someone had a seizure that sent us all into a frenzy.  And then we got started.  Again.  

Funny when I first thought about blogging I had a million things in my mind.  Now that I'm at it, i literally am at loss for words.  For thoughts.  Oh well, it's the first.

Let's see how I'd fare on my next post.  Bye for now,  more when the unica's  clearer state of mind returns.  Haha.
